Spring 2026: The Blossoms are Blooming

A springtime reminder:

“Blossom by blossom the spring begins.”

— Algernon Charles Swinburne

Welcome to The Steffen Orchards Scoop, your seasonal connection to the beautiful, quiet rhythm of our orchard. As a family, we take pride in slowing down and creating moments of togetherness in every row — and we're thrilled to share those simple moments with you.

Spring is in the air

Springtime at Steffen Orchards is full of new beginnings: adding babies of all types and sizes, and looking out at the budding potential of this season's crop. We cherish the renewal and promise that each spring holds. Our bees have been buzzing to make sure each blossom is pollinated and ready to bear the fruits we love. Without our "little busy worker friends," we wouldn't have nearly the crop we have every year.

Have you given any more thought on what our new fresh, frosted surprise could be? We've been working hard all off-season to get it up-and-running. We're sprinkling the final details and can't wait to share it with you soon.

Featured Recipe:
Cherry Squares

We would like to begin featuring recipes from our customers using blueberries and cherries in our seasonal newsletter. Please send us an email with your name, favorite recipe (and source if it's not original), and image (if you have one). Then, keep an eye on your inbox to see when it is featured in "The Steffen Orchards Scoop". Think of it as a "family cookbook" of sorts.

This newsletter, we are again featuring a customer favorite: the cherry square! This recipe can be found in our cherry cookbook.

1 cup sugar

2.5 cups pitted tart cherries

1 cup liquid, juice or water

1/8 teaspoon almond extract
