Steffen Orchards 2026 U-Pick Season Update

There has been a lot going on at Steffen Orchards this Spring. We wanted to provide an update on what to expect this summer:

Cherry Update

We had a beautiful blossom, but our cherry plants suffered immensely with multiple nights of hard frosts during the bloom. As a result, we will not have any U-pick cherries this year.

Blueberry Update

The blueberry plants will be ready for harvest in July. We will email an update with an opening U-pick Blueberry date by July 1.

Barn Storefront Update

What happened to our cherry crop is, unfortunately, not unique to our orchard. Frost devastated crops across the midwest, creating a shortage of pre-picked fruit. We will have a limited quantity of frozen cherries and blueberries available for purchase at the barn. As a reminder, we do not take pre-orders for frozen fruit.

We will have jams, jellies, juices, and other goodies available for purchase as well. Please keep an eye on our website for updates throughout the season.

We will email an update with business hours by July 1.

Berry Good Donuts

We are thrilled to publicly announce a new venture within our orchard. From fruit farmers to bakers-on-the-go, Steffen Orchards is rolling out of the orchard serving fresh, made-to-order donuts fried in good tallow. You can find links to follow Berry Good Donuts on Facebook and Instagram on our website.
